THE FOUNDER OF CHESSPRODUCER

My name is Ádám Radnai; I am a FIDE-certified chess coach and the director of ChessProducer.

Ever since my twenties, I have viewed chess as a martial art. I believe that I can represent the “king of games” responsibly through lifelong learning. For years, I considered myself a competitive chess player; month after month, new youth tournaments loomed before me, with the goal of helping my students advance as successfully as possible in national and international leagues. I attended six two-week-long world championships as a coach, from Greece to Montenegro, from Russia through Egypt to the United Arab Emirates. I followed the competitions and matches of the under-16 juniors on a weekly basis, regularly consulting with my students to help them hone their own strengths while capitalizing on their opponents’ weaknesses.

By the time I turned 30, I realized that chess has held the title of “the game of kings” for centuries not primarily because of its competitive nature, but because its power lies in the parallels it draws with life itself. As a result, I decided to treat competitive chess as a secondary activity so that my colleagues and I could place greater emphasis on our skill-building chess programs. For the past five years, through the Veritas Academy Boardgame course, we have been using chess and board games to develop high school students’ decision-making and strategic planning skills. Three years ago, I met Attila (Bom) Krausz, a member of my favorite rap band. Our new friendship inspired me to incorporate the knowledge stemming from my family background and hobbies into the educational program. I move among creative people, strive for mindfulness, and am inspired. My closest private students and the students at Veritas were the first to benefit from our “polymath” approach through our joint music, film, board game, drawing, and computer science classes.

The summer of 2025 provided fresh momentum to make the “polymath approach” tangible through modules… This is how ChessProducer continued to evolve: toward a movement that awakens awareness, in which we are all the producers of our own lives through a blend of learning, awareness, and teaching.
